How big is star citizen map1/24/2024 It would still take 37-46 minutes to travel across Stanton between the Terra and Magnus jump points. Travelling at 0.2c (1/5th the speed of light), that’s almost exactly 30 minutes across at a 1:8 timescale, or 24 minutes at 1:10. Using that as a radius, we get a system size of 5.8 au, or roughly 868,000,000 km. On the current version of the ARK Star Map, MicroTech (Stanton’s most distant planet) is 2.9 au from the star. Dave Haddock confirmed that both distance compression (1:10) and time scale (currently unknown) are being used, which fits the original theory. Yesterday on ATV, Eric confirmed that the Stanton system is ‘just over’ 800M km across after being scaled down. Incidentally, Red Bull decided to run with that theory in their article here. (Later, I made some edits to accommodate an alternate theory about distance vs time scaling, and changed my proposed time scale from 1:8 to 1:10 to make it simpler). 6 months ago I posted this theory about travel times in the SC universe, mostly based on guesses:
